Hey ladies....this guy, Bobby is a great catch! Comes from top notch family. Not too many of the good guys left out there!
Keep the music rolling Ranger!
Born in San Marcos, the product of generations of teachers, in a teacher college town, I was quickly rerouted here to Kerrville where I was raised. With roots running deep here, and with many friends and family members already knowing who I am, I am not afforded the luxury of a really cool nickname like the "Boneman" or the "Flash". That sucks too, because I have always wanted a really cool nickname, (you know, other than the kind the mean kids give you in jr. high). I was thinking about using Bobonator, or Bobolicious...cuz I’m so delicious..get it? Forget it! Any suggestions, lemme know. But be kind, cuz like the typical Texan, I own guns... My education was cheap... but somehow I still owe:
- Tivy High school for a high school diploma
- San Antonio College for an Associate’s Degree in Arts in Radio, Television & Film
- UTSA for a BA in English
Let me not be the example of what GOOD an education can do...debt is the four letter word that comes to mind.
Now, my background is mostly in television and audio/visual production. However, I have worked in radio, last, some 20 years ago under these exact same call letters. I worked in television news in the northeast when 9/11 occurred. I lived about the same driving distance from ground zero as it is from K-town to San Antonio, maybe a bit less. After that tragedy happened, like many I am sure, I felt it was the end of the world, and I just prayed to the good Lord above, "please God, I wanna die in Texas". So I figure that I owe him one.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Going to war with Iraq got me in at Fox News Channel in New York City as a technical director. Each day on the train, subway and bus, a day did not pass where I would forget that prayer. Southern born, Texas through and through, some things you just can’t change, I wanted to come home. Now there will always be a special place in my heart for the good people of New Jersey and New York. Watching with my very eyes what they went through, the way their lives changed, the way they valiantly handled the crisis that was dealt to them, they managed it with dignity and honor.
However, now I have come home, to where I grew up. I grew up in Texas, I grew up with music, really good music. The music played here at Classic Rock 94.3 RevFM. It’s a part of me, so I know it through living it and loving it. I hope you will join me in my new journey, with REV FM as we embark on this new adventure in the Hill Country, making this station the best Classic Rock station for our listeners.
